We developed a distinctive project for these 145 single-family homes so visitors and residents would take notice that they are entering a special area of the city. To achieve a building density that would allow for visual continuity on a street level, and to reduce our ecological footprint, we revisited urban principles relating to peri-urban single-family allotment. By reducing the width of the lots and creating new architectural typologies adapted to these new lots, we were able to create a contemporary look and a lifestyle adapted to our present needs.
Six different models were created for this project in order to meet the needs of different clients. These came as four typologies:
- Single houses
- Semi-detached houses
- Townhouses
- Triplexes
As a way of ensuring visual uniformity from one model to the next without falling into monotony, we developed a distinctive architectural design and a colour theme that sets the neighbourhood apart from the rest.
